As is common practice with almost all professional websites, the EENEE website uses cookies. These are tiny files that are downloaded to your computer to improve your experience. We describe what information they gather, how we use it and why we sometimes need to store these cookies.

We also use Google Analytics as an analytics provider. To learn more about the privacy policy of Google Analytics, please check out Google’s Policies and Principles. You can use the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on to prevent analytics information from being sent to Google Analytics.
Google Analytics provides us with aggregated data on key Website traffic parameters that we cannot relate to individual users.
We also use a ‘wp-wpml_current_language‘ cookie, which stores the current language.

We are fully committed to protecting your personal data and respecting your privacy. Your personal data are collected and further processed pursuant to Regulation (EU) 2018/1725 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 23 October 2018 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data by the Union institutions, bodies, offices and agencies and on the free movement of such data (repealing Regulation (EC) No 45/2001). EENEE also abides by the Privacy policy of its coordinating institution – PPMI. Please refer to the applicable document, which is available here.
Which personal data do we collect, and how do we further process it?
Our Website does not collect any personal data automatically.
We collect and use your personal information to receive:
1) Your feedback and questions using the ‘Contact us’ form; or
2) Your registration form on the Database of researchers.
For the purposes of providing our Service, we may contact you using the contact information you provide.
When you fill in and submit any of the forms on this Website, such as the ‘Contact us’ or ‘Expert registration’ form, you consent to provide us with your personal data, which will be stored in our Database. This includes any personally identifiable information (such as name, surname or email address). Access to the personal identifiable information provided by you in these forms (or in further communication with us) will be restricted solely to the EENEE team. Your personal data will only be shared publicly in the Database of researchers only if you choose to be included in it. All information will be used strictly for the purposes of our Service provision.
The EENEE website contains a Database of researchers and collects personal information which is provided voluntarily by researchers specialising in the economics of education and training. If you, as a researcher, choose to register with the Database, we ask you to provide a limited amount of personal information, including your name, surname, nationality, affiliation, email, links to a personal website or social network accounts, research interests and a CV. Please note that the CV is for the Network’s internal use only and is never published online. When you create or maintain a profile with us, you must provide us with information that is accurate and complete.
Your personal data will not be used for automated decision-making, including profiling.
The provision of personal data is not mandatory.
On what legal ground(s) do we process your personal data?
In accordance with Article 5(1)(d) of the Regulation (EU) 2018/1725, we process your personal data only where you give consent to such processing by ticking the relevant box in the ‘Contact us’ and ‘Expert registration’ forms.
How long do we keep your personal data?
PPMI, the current coordinator of the EENEE, will only store and process your personal data for the time necessary to carry out their Service in the current EENEE cycle (2021-2024). After the conclusion of the EENEE cycle, all data collected will be transferred to the European Commission and/or the coordinators of the next EENEE cycle.
How do we protect and safeguard your personal data?
All personal data in electronic format (including emails, documents, etc.) are stored on the servers of the contractor, PPMI. The data filled-in through the online information tool is also stored on the servers of the sub-contractor that provides web hosting services to PPMI and is bound contractually to ensure a high level of data security.
Who has access to your personal data and to whom is it disclosed?
Access to your personal data is provided to the EENEE team members. If you register for a Database of researchers, some of your personal data will be published on the Website. If requested, all data on Database of researchers can also be shared with the European Commission, who is the ultimate owner of data collected under the scope of EENEE.
What are your rights and how can you exercise them?
You have specific rights as a data subject under Chapter III (Articles 14-25) of Regulation (EU) 2018/1725, in particular, the right to access your personal data and to rectify them should your personal data be inaccurate or incomplete. Where applicable, you have the right to erase your personal data, to restrict the processing of your personal data, to object to the processing, and the right to data portability.
You have consented to provide your personal data for the present processing operation. You can withdraw your consent at any time by notifying the EENEE team. The withdrawal will not affect the lawfulness of the processing carried out before you withdraw the consent.
You can exercise your rights by contacting us. Where you wish to exercise your rights in the context of one or several specific processing operations, please provide a description of these in your request.
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to amend or replace these Terms at any time. We, therefore, advise you to review this page periodically for any changes.
